Original: tickets restaurants
French deputies have voted to make permanent the rule allowing restaurant vouchers (titres-restaurant) to be used for food shopping in supermarkets. The measure, introduced during the Covid crisis, was set to expire, and its extension has sparked wide discussion among workers, employers and voucher issuers about everyday purchasing power.
Why now: The vote directly affects millions of French employees' daily food purchasing power.
