Original: Delhi Protest Oct 10-11: Police Action, Misconduct with Journalists, and Diverging Paths for Cong...
Protests took place in Delhi on October 10-11, with police action reported against demonstrators and allegations of misconduct towards journalists covering the events. The response of Congress and other political groups to the protests has reportedly diverged, with parties taking different public positions. The reported scale of police handling of the press is drawing criticism, while the political fallout over the parties' differing approaches continues to unfold in the capital.
Why now: Fresh reports of police cracking down on protesters and journalists in Delhi, plus political disagreement over the response, are driving attention.
