Experimental pattern-first DAW with MCP support debuts on GitHub
Original: Show HN: An experimental pattern-first DAW that supports MCP
A developer has released Blokkily, an experimental pattern-first digital audio workstation that supports MCP, sharing it on GitHub and discussing it with the Hacker News community. The project takes a pattern-based approach to music production rather than a traditional timeline layout, and its MCP support lets AI assistants connect to and control the DAW. Early reactions are from technically minded users curious about the design and the AI integration.
Why now: New open-source music software combining a novel pattern-first workflow with MCP, the emerging AI tooling protocol, is drawing attention from developers.
