US Air Force Plans 185 Boeing F-47 Fighters

Original: boeing f-47

The US Air Force's F-47 fighter program, developed by Boeing, is drawing attention over its planned fleet size. Commentary notes the Air Force originally wanted 750 F-22 Raptors but built only 187, and now plans just 185 F-47s at a time when China already has sixth-generation fighter aircraft flying. Critics question whether the smaller purchase can keep pace with growing competition from Beijing.

Why now: Concerns that the planned F-47 fleet is too small compared to past programs and China's sixth-generation fighter advances
