New App Described as Letterboxd for Video Games
Original: New App is Basically Letterboxd for Video Games
A new app is being described as a Letterboxd-style platform for video games, letting players log, rate and review the games they play in a social, film-diary format. The comparison to Letterboxd, the popular film tracking community, frames it as a way for gamers to share opinions and build play histories. Early discussion centres on whether a review-driven social network can work for games the way it does for cinema.
Why now: People are talking about it because a games-focused social tracking app promising a Letterboxd-like experience is a fresh, appealing idea for the gaming community.
