Original: If you believe libraries make stronger communities, follow us today. # library # libraries # read # reading # book # boo
EveryLibrary, a US-based library advocacy organization, is urging people to follow and support it with the message that libraries make communities stronger. The group campaigns for library funding and against closures and budget cuts, using hashtags about reading, books and librarianship to reach supporters of public libraries and the librarians who run them.
Why now: Ongoing debates over library funding and book restrictions are keeping public attention on the value of libraries.
