Constanța State Theatre has two productions selected for the National Theatre Festival: Chekhov's 'The Cherry Orchard', directed by Andrei Măjeri, staged at the National Theatre of Bucharest, and Sarah Ruhl's 'Orlando', directed by Florin Caracala, at Teatrul Mic. The double selection is being celebrated as a strong showing for the seaside theatre at Romania's main theatre showcase.

Why now: The festival selection was just announced, and a double nod for a regional theatre is notable news for Romanian theatre audiences.
