Original: Area15 developer pitches Las Vegas NBA arena within city limits
The developer behind the Area15 entertainment complex has proposed building a new NBA-ready arena within Las Vegas city limits, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The pitch would place a potential home for an NBA franchise inside the city rather than the Strip corridor, adding to ongoing efforts to bring professional basketball to the Las Vegas market.
Why now: Las Vegas has been widely discussed as a candidate for NBA expansion, and a concrete arena proposal advances that possibility.
