The rights group Adalah says conditions in the Dahiya area, in the West Bank, mirror what is happening in other Bedouin Palestinian villages, including those whose residents hold Israeli citizenship. The organisation describes the system as one of the most severe forms of apartheid against Palestinian citizens of Israel, drawing attention to demolition and displacement pressures on Bedouin communities.
Why now: Ongoing demolition and displacement of Bedouin villages in Israel and the West Bank is renewing accusations of apartheid.
