The LineageOS project has released version 24, its first custom Android build based on Android 17, arriving earlier than expected. The team said it spent the time since Android 17's June release rebasing its changes and features onto the new system. Enthusiasts are welcoming the quick turnaround for the popular open-source ROM that extends support for older phones.
