Mutable Instruments' Beads module goes open source
Original: Beads, last of the Mutable Instruments modules, is now open source
Beads, the final remaining module from French synth maker Mutable Instruments, has been released as open source hardware and software. The company closed in 2021 after founder Émilie Gillet chose to freely publish her designs, and the community has gradually open-sourced the full range. With Beads now available, the entire catalog is public, allowing makers to build clones and further develop the popular modular effects designs.
Why now: The last Mutable Instruments design becoming open source completes the release of a beloved modular synth lineup.
