Artemis Fowl Series Greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+

Original: ‘Artemis Fowl’ Series Greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+

The Walt Disney Company has greenlit a series adaptation of 'Artemis Fowl' for Disney Channel and Disney+. The new show reboots the fantasy franchise based on Eoin Colfer's books, following Disney's poorly received 2020 film adaptation. The series is expected to draw young audiences across the two platforms.

Why now: Disney's announcement of a fresh TV take on a well-known book franchise has renewed fan interest, especially after the 2020 film's critical failure.
