Original: liv golf
LIV Golf is in the news after two major developments. Ian Poulter has announced he is quitting the Saudi-backed circuit, though the Englishman insists his playing career is not over. Meanwhile, the DP World Tour has confirmed it will deny memberships to LIV Golf players for the 2027 season, meaning they will be excluded from the European tour and must choose between the two circuits.
Why now: Ian Poulter quitting LIV Golf and the DP World Tour's decision to exclude LIV players from 2027 are major developments in golf's split.
