Original: Zelenskyy says Russia strikes energy facilities despite Trump claim of an energy ceasefire | World News | 2news.com
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia has continued striking Ukraine's energy facilities, contradicting Donald Trump's claim that Moscow and Kyiv have agreed to an energy ceasefire. The dispute highlights the gap between US-brokered ceasefire talk and the reality on the ground, with Ukrainian officials insisting Russian attacks on power infrastructure have not stopped. The conflicting accounts add new tension to ongoing efforts to end the war.
Why now: Statements from Zelenskyy and Trump directly contradict each other over whether an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is holding.
