NLCS umpire crew named amid ABS controversy

Original: アレックス ベシア

Major League Baseball has announced its umpiring crew for the National League Championship Series, with Mark Wegner serving as crew chief. Wegner was behind the plate during last year's 18-inning World Series game. Attention is focused on the automatic ball-strike system, including its reversal rate, after a chaotic playoff scene in which Brewers manager Pat Murphy protested loudly following a balk call involving Teoscar Hernandez.

Why now: The NLCS is underway and the ABS challenge system's role in key calls is drawing scrutiny.
