Original: babieca

Babieca, the ceremonial goat of the Spanish Legion, is in the news ahead of Spain's October 12 national day celebrations. Diario AS spoke with Cristian Vázquez, a legionary corporal who serves as the animal's caretaker, about the goat that traditionally marches at the front of the Legion's parade formation. Babieca is a long-standing symbol of the elite unit and a regular draw at the Madrid military parade.
