Trump slams Nobel committee after Peace Prize snub

Original: Trump: I stopped China and I stopped Taiwan and they gave the Nobel Prize to a person that nobody ever heard of. I think

Donald Trump complained that he deserves credit for preventing conflict between China and Taiwan, saying the Nobel Peace Prize should not have gone to a winner 'nobody ever heard of'. He claimed the laureate is very anti-Israel and quipped that 'there's something wrong in Norway'. Critics say the outburst reflects his frustration at again being overlooked for the prize.

Why now: Trump is reacting angrily after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to someone else, reviving debate over whether he should have won.
