Browns stumble again as Deshaun Watson struggles against Jets
Original: The Browns are still the Browns. And Deshaun Watson is still Deshaun Watson https://www. theguardian.com/sport/2026/oct
The Guardian has published a column arguing that the Cleveland Browns' familiar problems persist, with Deshaun Watson still failing to deliver, in coverage of their NFL week five game against the New York Jets. The piece frames the franchise as stuck in the same patterns despite Watson's blockbuster contract, a recurring theme among NFL fans critical of the quarterback's form since his return.
Why now: The Browns lost or underperformed again in week five, renewing criticism of Watson and the franchise's decision to trade for him.
