Yamamoto Yudai's baserunning held up as a model for Hawks

Original: 山本祐大

Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks catcher Yamamoto Yudai is drawing attention in Japan after his baserunning in a third-team farm game was praised as an example for other players. Reports say the manager cited Yamamoto's form in a speech to the squad, asking players whether they had watched how beautifully he ran the bases.

Why now: The Hawks organisation is publicly holding up the young catcher's baserunning as a model during farm-team games.
