Jon Favreau's unrealised Magic Kingdom film revisited
Original: Magic Kingdom: Jon Favreau’s Disney park movie that never got made
Jon Favreau once developed Magic Kingdom, a Disney film set inside the company's theme parks, but the project never moved into production. The abandoned movie imagined a family drawn into the world of Disney's attractions, with Favreau attached before his later success on Iron Man and The Jungle Book. The project is being recalled as a curiosity of Disney's filmmaking history.
Why now: Renewed interest in lost or cancelled Disney projects, likely tied to nostalgia and Favreau's current prominence.
