Republicans falsely claim Talarico was in mental hospital
Republicans are spreading a false claim that Texas State Senator James Talarico was once in a mental hospital, according to reporting from Baptist News Global. The claim appears to be aimed at undermining the Democratic politician, who has become a prominent figure in Texas politics. Fact-checkers and critics have dismissed the assertion as baseless.
Why now: Talarico is a rising Democratic figure in Texas, making him a target for political attacks ahead of elections.
