Artemis Fowl Gets Animated Series at Disney
Original: ‘Artemis Fowl’ Greenlit for Animated Series on Disney Channel & Disney+
Disney has given the green light to an animated series based on Eoin Colfer's 'Artemis Fowl' books, set to air on Disney Channel and stream on Disney+. The franchise was previously adapted as a 2020 live-action film that skipped theaters and was widely panned. Fans of the fantasy book series about the young criminal mastermind are now watching to see whether the animated format will finally do the source material justice.
Why now: Disney's new adaptation decision revives interest after the poorly received 2020 film.
