Original: DDC: No plague outbreak in Russia
Thailand's Department of Disease Control has stated there is no plague outbreak in Russia, moving to reassure the public amid concerns about the disease. The agency's announcement was reported by the Bangkok Post. The department indicated no evidence supports claims of an active outbreak, and it does not appear to have issued travel warnings related to Russia over plague.
Why now: People are reacting to online claims or reports suggesting a plague outbreak in Russia, prompting the DDC to deny it.
