Trump suggests renaming an ocean after himself
Original: Donald Trump suggests renaming Atlantic or Pacific Ocean to 'Trump Ocean'
Donald Trump has suggested renaming either the Atlantic or the Pacific Ocean to 'Trump Ocean', according to US media reports. The remark adds to a pattern of Trump-backed renaming efforts, following earlier moves to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Commenters are debating the seriousness of the proposal and its legal feasibility.
Why now: The striking nature of the proposal, following similar Trump renaming campaigns, is drawing widespread attention and ridicule.
