Brewers manager Pat Murphy charms first-time reporters at press conference

Original: パット マーフィー

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy is drawing attention in Japan for his warm interactions with reporters at press conferences. Meeting a journalist covering him for the first time, he made a point of friendly small talk, including asking a 19-year-old photographer what they planned to do with their life. The exchange is being reported as an example of his trademark easy rapport with first-time faces.

Why now: Murphy's unusually personal, friendly treatment of first-time reporters at a press conference is being shared as a charming story.
