Ukraine strikes Yandex data centre in third attack
Original: Yandex: Ukraine strikes data centre in third attack on Russian tech giant
Ukraine has carried out a strike on a Yandex data centre, the third reported attack targeting the Russian technology company, according to BBC reporting. Yandex, often described as Russia's answer to Google, has repeatedly found its infrastructure drawn into the war. The strike highlights how Ukrainian attacks are increasingly reaching Russian digital and tech-industry assets far from the front line.
Why now: The attack on a major Russian tech company's infrastructure is a notable escalation in Ukraine's strikes on targets inside Russia.
