Original: Video: Trump Suggests Renaming an Ocean
Donald Trump has suggested renaming an ocean, according to a New York Times video report. The proposal, if pursued, would mark another high-profile naming change from the US president, who has previously pushed to rebrand American geographic landmarks. Details of which ocean is involved and how such a change would work internationally remain limited, but the suggestion is drawing wide attention and commentary.
Why now: The suggestion comes from a sitting US president known for provocative renaming proposals, making it instantly newsworthy.
