Ukraine strikes Yandex data centre in third attack
Original: Ukraine strikes Yandex data centre in third attack on Russian tech giant
Ukraine has carried out a strike on a Yandex data centre, the third reported attack targeting the Russian technology company's infrastructure. The strike comes as Ukraine continues to target facilities supporting Russia's economy and war effort, and it raises questions about the vulnerability of major Russian tech firms' operations to the ongoing conflict.
Why now: Ukraine's repeated strikes on a major Russian tech company's infrastructure are a notable escalation in attacks on Russian civilian-industrial targets.
