SpaceX owes Napa chef $70,000 in unpaid catering bills
Original: Why hasn't SpaceX, worth $2T, paid this Bay Area chef the $70K it owes him?
A Bay Area chef says SpaceX, valued at around $2 trillion, has failed to pay him roughly $70,000 owed for services, and the San Francisco Chronicle is asking why the company has not settled the debt. The disparity between the company's enormous valuation and the small unpaid bill is drawing attention, with readers questioning how such a wealthy firm can leave a small business waiting.
Why now: The contrast between SpaceX's massive valuation and a relatively small unpaid debt to a local chef makes the story striking.
