Trump mocked for praising Columbus as a migrant comparison

Original: " # Trump finally found a violent undocumented migrant he likes. Not that we're moral relativists but # Columbus was not

Commenters are mocking Donald Trump by saying he has 'finally found a violent undocumented migrant he likes,' referring to Christopher Columbus. They argue Columbus was notorious even by the standards of his own era, citing his capture and enslavement of large numbers of indigenous men, women and children, and that he was punished in his own time.

Why now: Trump has made harsh rhetoric about undocumented migrants central to his politics, so critics are highlighting the perceived hypocrisy of his praise for Columbus.
