Australia's veteran pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, alongside spinner Nathan Lyon, have taken control of the Test against South Africa, putting talk of the 2018 ball-tampering scandal, known as Sandpapergate, firmly behind them. Coverage highlights how the long-serving bowling attack continues to deliver despite its age, with analysts praising the unit's discipline and durability years on from the controversy that once overshadowed Australian cricket.
Why now: A marquee Australia-South Africa Test has reopened memories of Sandpapergate while the ageing bowlers' dominance gives fans fresh reason to discuss the team's attack.
