The European Parliament has adopted a resolution calling for the Muslim Brotherhood to be designated a terrorist organisation and added to the EU's terror list. The move, reported by the Jerusalem Post, is drawing attention from security analysts and civil society, with supporters citing security concerns and critics warning about the implications for political Islam groups in Europe.

Why now: A significant EU institutional vote on a controversial terrorism designation is new and politically charged.
