Users mock forced IMDb-to-Amazon account migration
Original: Why would I want to 'migrate' my IMDB account to Amazon Jeff, I thought you lads were against Migration? # TechBros # Mi
IMDb users are being asked to migrate their accounts to Amazon, and some are pushing back with sarcasm. One widely shared quip asks why users should 'migrate' their IMDb account to Amazon when Amazon's leadership is seen as opposing migration, riffing on the double meaning of the word. The joke doubles as criticism of tech companies forcing consolidated logins.
Why now: Amazon is pushing IMDb users onto Amazon accounts, prompting mockery over the wording and frustration with forced account consolidation.
