Green politician Zack Polanski is being praised online for speaking out against Israel's conduct in Gaza despite political pressure to stay quiet. Supporters say his willingness to condemn what they call genocide, even when other leaders stay silent, shows real leadership, and they contrast him with politicians who back down when donors or allies object. The comments reflect wider frustration with mainstream parties' positions on the war.

Why now: Anger over Gaza and the perceived cowardice of political leaders keeps statements like Polanski's highly discussed.
