Valencia city centre on alert amid vandalism and protests

Original: vandalismo

Spanish media are reporting on vandalism and heightened tension in central Valencia, where authorities have effectively sealed off and 'shut down' the city centre amid threats linked to the 'Blocus' protest movement. Outlets such as Las Provincias and ABC are running live coverage of the situation, describing a 'blinded and shut-down' district as the focus of unrest. Security concerns extend elsewhere too, with reports of a theft at an agricultural school in Rodeo, Argentina, prompting calls for better security.

Why now: Ongoing 'Blocus' protest threats and vandalism in Valencia have placed the city centre under lockdown, drawing wide attention
