Scotland's First Minister John Swinney has said he and former first minister Nicola Sturgeon remain friends despite criticism exchanged during the election campaign. Swinney's comments come amid ongoing tensions around the SNP following scrutiny linked to Nicola Sturgeon and her husband Peter Murrell, and they underline his attempt to play down reports of a rift between the two most senior figures in the party.
