Gaming fans are joking about watching Markiplier play Five Nights at Freddy's in 144p quality, blaming slow internet speeds that leave a three-gigabyte file taking up to an hour to download. The self-deprecating humour about poor connections and unaffordable 4K streaming is resonating with others in similar situations.

Why now: The relatable joke about slow internet and low-resolution gaming videos is striking a chord with people facing the same problem.
