The Verge reports that DDR4 memory, a standard introduced over a decade ago, is seeing renewed demand amid a shortage of newer DDR5 RAM. Why now: A RAM shortage has pushed up DDR5 prices, making older DDR4 memory attractive again to PC builders and gamers.
