Portland's OMSI launches Sharktoberfest with sharks and science
Original: OMSI celebrates sips, sharks and science with Sharktoberfest
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland is hosting Sharktoberfest, an event combining shark exhibits, hands-on science activities and drinks. Organisers describe it as a chance for adults to explore the museum after hours while learning about sharks and marine conservation. The festival-style format pairs craft beverages with education, part of a wider trend of science museums running evening events aimed at grown-up audiences.
Why now: The museum is promoting a seasonal, adults-only event that blends Oktoberfest-style festivities with shark education.
