WallHop launches as replacement for paywall bypass site 12ft.io
Original: Show HN: WallHop – 12ft.io is gone, so I built a replacement
A developer has launched WallHop, a new tool positioning itself as a successor to 12ft.io, the widely used site for reading paywalled articles that has stopped working. The project was shared on Hacker News, where it drew hundreds of upvotes. Reactions are likely mixed, with interest in the tool alongside debate about paywalls, publisher revenue and whether such services should exist at all.
Why now: 12ft.io's shutdown left readers looking for an alternative, making a working replacement immediately notable.
