Mempho Music Festival and Tigers game proceed as Isaias misses Memphis
Original: Mempho Music Festival, Tigers game go on as Isaias misses Memphis
Tropical Storm Isaias spared Memphis, allowing the Mempho Music Festival and the Memphis Tigers football game to go ahead as planned. Organisers and fans had been watching the storm's track closely, but the city avoided the severe weather that disrupted events along the East Coast. Both the festival and the game were held without weather-related cancellations.
Why now: Relief that Tropical Storm Isaias spared Memphis allowed major local events to continue without disruption.
