Developer launches inlaut, a privacy-first Mac dictation app

Original: Hallo Fediverse 👋 # neuhier Ich bin Tobias und habe inlaut gebaut, eine kleine Diktier-App für die Mac-Menüleiste: Taste

A developer named Tobias has introduced inlaut, a small dictation app for the Mac menu bar. Users hold a key, speak, and release to have the text inserted into any text field. Speech recognition runs entirely on the Mac, with no account, no cloud and no tracking. The app is drawing attention in the fediverse as a privacy-friendly alternative to cloud-based voice tools.

Why now: Interest in local, privacy-respecting alternatives to cloud-based AI dictation tools is driving attention to the launch.
