ThinkSynth Generates Modular Synth Patches From Code
Original: thinksynth ~ Modular Synth & Algorthmic Composition thinksynth builds sounds out of a graph of DSP nodes, oscillators, f
ThinkSynth, a modular synth and algorithmic composition tool, builds sounds from a graph of DSP nodes — oscillators, filters, envelopes, delays and arithmetic — described in a small text language and rendered in real time. Patches can assign those graphs to MIDI channels, letting a single definition drive multiple instrument parts. Electronic musicians and open-source audio developers are sharing the project, drawn to its code-based approach to patch design.
Why now: Musicians and audio developers interested in text-based and algorithmic approaches to synthesis are sharing the newly highlighted tool.
