'Other Mommy' Scores Worst Audience Grade in Two Years Yet Tops Box Office
Original: 'Other Mommy' Gets Worst Audience Grade for Any Movie in Two Years, But Will Top Box Office
The horror film 'Other Mommy' has received the lowest audience grade given to any movie in the past two years, according to newly reported audience scores. Despite the poor reception from moviegoers, the film is still on track to claim the top spot at the box office this weekend. The mismatch between critical audience reactions and ticket sales is drawing attention to how horror releases can succeed commercially even when poorly rated by viewers.
Why now: The striking contrast between record-low audience scores and a projected number-one box office opening is generating buzz about the film.
