Celebrity chef who signed BDS pledge appears with Israeli chefs in San Francisco
Original: Celebrity chef who signed BDS pledge shares stage with Israeli chefs in San Francisco
A celebrity chef who previously signed the BDS pledge, supporting boycotts of Israel, has appeared on stage alongside Israeli chefs at an event in San Francisco. The juxtaposition of the chef's boycott stance with the joint appearance with Israeli culinary figures has drawn attention, raising questions about the consistency between political commitments and professional collaborations in the food world.
Why now: The apparent contradiction between the chef's support for boycotting Israel and sharing a stage with Israeli chefs is drawing public attention.
