BET Launches Mental Health Initiative for Black Communities
Original: BET Launches ‘Get Your Mind Right,’ A Mental Health Initiative For Black Communities
BET has announced 'Get Your Mind Right,' a new mental health initiative aimed at Black communities. The program, reported by Essence, is intended to raise awareness of mental health issues and connect audiences with resources and support. It arrives amid a broader push in media and entertainment to destigmatize mental health conversations, particularly in communities where access to care and open discussion have historically been limited.
Why now: Media companies are increasingly addressing mental health awareness, and a major Black-focused network launching such an initiative is drawing attention.
