Mother of commentator Eduarda Campopiano receives INSS disability benefit
Original: bpc
The mother of Eduarda Campopiano, a commentator known for criticising social policies, has been receiving the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC), an INSS assistance payment, since 2019, according to Alô Alô Bahia. The report is drawing attention because of the contrast between the family's public stance against social welfare programmes and its use of one.
Why now: The contradiction between criticising social policies and benefiting from one is prompting debate in Brazil.
