Original: पोलीस
Police in Delhi detained demonstrators from the CJP movement for a second consecutive day as protests continued on the streets, with reports that office-bearers were taken into custody before dawn, ahead of the demonstration. In Maharashtra, a purported audio clip went viral alleging that activist Manoj Jarange Patil received 500 crore rupees, adding to tensions around police action against agitators.
Why now: Fresh police detentions of CJP protesters in Delhi and a viral audio claim about Jarange Patil have put police action in the spotlight.
