Ovechkin ties own worst goal drought to start NHL season
Original: овечкин вашингтон
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin has matched his personal worst goalless streak at the start of an NHL season, Russian sports outlet Match TV reports. The 40-year-old superstar has failed to score in the opening games of the new campaign, repeating an anti-record he previously set in his career. Fans in Russia are closely tracking his form as he chases further milestones late in his legendary career.
Why now: Ovechkin is a huge star in Russia and any slump by him early in the NHL season draws wide attention.
