A wildlife photographer has shared a black-and-white image of a cheetah sitting and scanning for prey, taken in Samburu National Reserve in Kenya in 2012. Unsure which themed photography day was being celebrated, they chose to post under the wildlife tag, and the shot is drawing appreciation for its composition and quiet portrait of the predator at watch.
Why now: A themed photography day prompted photographers to share striking wildlife images online.
